MISSION STATEMENT
Art Junction is designed to provide a safe and structured virtual environment within which teachers and students can pursue artistic and educational goals. Through the activities, projects, and resources offered through this site, we aim to:
- promote effective art education practices that foster artistic expression in young people and broaden their perspectives on the various roles that art plays in the lives of people around the globe.
- support online cultural exchanges and joint creative work that result in shared learning experiences among teachers, students, artists, and other professionals.

Art Junction
is an outreach project of the Art Education Program of the University of Florida. Dr. Craig Roland is the Project Director and Webmaster. Art Junction was made possible by a Scholarship Enhancement Grant from the University of Florida's College of Fine Arts. Special thanks to Cameron Thomas for his assistance in the design of this website.
ART JUNCTION PRIVACY POLICY
The Art Junction website uses “cookies” to maintain non-personal, aggregate data about visitors to the site. Cookies help us to track such information as the number of visitors to our site, the types of Web browsers visitors use, points of entry into the site, and areas of the site most frequently visited. This information is never linked to individual users, and is only used to maintain a comprehensive view of site traffic. We do not share personal information about Art Junction members with any third parties.
Teachers and parents may submit student art work for display in the Art Junction gallery. In which case, we ask for the name and age (or grade) of the child as well as school or city residence information. We collect this information only when work is submitted and only for the purpose of acknowledging the child's work if it is displayed. Only the child's first name will be used to identify his or her work in the gallery. Before a child's work is submitted for display, the teacher must obtain written permission from the child's parent to do so.
Photographs of individual students cannot be posted on the Art Junction website, or be associated by name, unless parental permission is received beforehand. Group photographs can be posted only when individual students in the photograph are not identified by name.
Art Junction is designed for educational purposes only. Any endorsements made regarding books, materials, websites, or products are intended to be recommendations based on educational quality alone.
The Art Junction website includes links to other sites on the World Wide Web. While every effort is made to screen sites used for any heavy commercial advertising or possibly offensive materials, we assume no responsibilty for the content of other websites.
All graphics, photographic images, and text posted on the Art Junction website are considered copyrighted and are intended for educational use only. Any commercial reproduction of this material is prohibited, unless permission is granted by the website owner.
